Washington, DC – Olivia Troye, a lifelong Republican and former homeland security and counterterrorism advisor to Vice President Mike Pence, is joining the Renew America Movement to help rebuild and strengthen the pro-democracy coalition in America. Troye will join the organization as Chief Strategy Officer.
“I’ve witnessed first hand the dangers of anti-democracy extremists and Trumpism,” said Olivia Troye. “That’s why I left the administration to help build a coalition of Americans who can work across our divides to defend our Constitution and strengthen our democracy. I’m excited to continue that work now as a part of the Renew America Movement.”
“Olivia has been at the forefront of the effort to expose the dangers of political extremism and rally Americans against it,” said RAM Executive Director Miles Taylor. “We are thrilled to have her join the team and to help lead our work in pushing back against Dividers, standing with Renewers, and restoring a common-sense coalition in American politics.”
The Renew America Movement is actively engaged in exposing radical candidates for Congress, promoting unifying leaders, and building a cross-partisan coalition to defend American democracy. Olivia joins a team already building and executing electoral strategies for 2022 and 2024.
The Renew America Movement was established in 2021, following the release of “A Call for American Renewal,” a declaration of principles signed by more than 150 prominent figures, including former governors, senators, congressmen, cabinet officials, and thought leaders.
